Creating multi-media art out of (almost) nothing: Andreas Glauser (Zurich) and Gerhard Zander/Gerald Fiebig (Augsburg) transform every electronic device into an instrument: a broken organ, short-circuited mixing boards, or a miked-up violin bow. Eric Zwang-Eriksson (Augsburg) generates abstract ‘visual music’ on his laptop. Sound and video interact and inspire each other live. It doesn't matter which came first because in this performance, something new is created every second anyway.
EMERGE EMERGE is inspired by the minimalist traditions of experimentalism and non-academic noise music, focusing on generating sound structures intended to make atmospheres emerge that are open to each listener's own interpretation. The choice of sound sources used is usually very limited. In most cases only rudiments of the original sounds are recognizable due to various treatments. EMERGE also uses and recycles raw material from a variety of artists/musicians. The performance at lab30will only feature studio-processed and live improvised sounds by coins.
Three artists imrovising audio visual material on the cause of urban isolation which evolves for the first time at the moment of the performance. Within this improvisation a result arises whose results only are used once and are solely dependant on the situation of the show. The most important keyword for the sound in any case is Ambient.
