"lab award" acknowledges artistic achievements which stand out as exceptional, especially innovative and extraordinarily creative. It supports interdisciplinary and cross-genre work, and wants to encourage experiments and transboundary approaches. The prize, 1.000.- EUR, is provided by Kulturamt Augsburg. The jury, consisting of international and local experts from the modern and the media art scene decides who gets the trophy which in this year is designed by Gerhard Fauser. '
