Das lab.30 ist ein Ort für Kunstprojekte aus den Bereichen analoge und digitale Medien. Wir präsentieren an vier Tagen eine Ausstellung, ein Konzertprogramm und Workshop.
What is the lab.30 Festival?
The media art festival lab.30 wants to be a place for art experiments in both analogue and digital areas. On four days in October we present an art exhibition, performances, concerts and a workshop.
Muss ich was von Technik verstehen?
Nein! Alle ausgestellten Projekte werden von den Künstlerinnen und Künstern selbst vorgestellt. Und auch unser Personal hilft bei Fragen gerne weiter.
I don’t know much about technical things.
Is that a problem?
No! All projects are presented and explained by the participating artists. Also the members of our staff know a lot about the festival and will be glad to help!
Kann ich nach Konzertbeginn auch noch Veranstaltungen besuchen?
Das hängt vom Konzert ab, oft ist ein Nacheinlass möglich, fragt am besten beim Personal vor Ort. Es herrscht freie Platzwahl, kommt also am besten rechtzeitig.
Can I come late to a concert?
This depends on the concert, often a late entry is possible, best ask the staff on site. There is a free choice of seats, so it is best to come on time.
Kann ich mich als Künstler*in bewerben?
Ja! Das Programm wird über eine öffentliche, internationale Ausschreibung zusammengestellt. Diese Ausschreibung endet jährlich im Juli. Ihr könnt uns jederzeit unter lab30@augsburg.de eure Arbeiten / Vorschläge schicken.
I’m a media artist. Can I apply?
Yes, of course! The program is generated through an international open call. This call for entries ends every year in July. You can always send your portfolio / entry to us: lab30@augsburg.de
Werden Bild- und Tonaufnahmen gemacht?
Ja, es werden zu werberischen und dokumentarischen Zwecken Bild- und Tonaufnahmen beim Festival gemacht. Sollten Sie nicht damit einverstanden sein, melden Sie sich bitte eingangs beim Einlassdienst, sodass wir Sie dann bei Bedarf herausschneiden können.
Brauche ich ein Ticket?
Ja!
Mit dem Ticket des jeweiligen Tages kann man sowohl die Ausstellung als auch alle Konzerte / Performances besuchen. Sollte das Theater / die Kirche bei einer Vorstellung schon voll sein, besteht kein Anrecht auf Einlass.

Will there be any image and/or sound recordings?
Yes, we might be photographing or filming during the festival for both documentary and advertisement. Please get in touch before entering the festival, if you don’t want to be involved in any image or sound recordings.
Do I need a ticket?
Yes.
With the ticket of the respective day you can visit both the exhibition and all concerts / performances. If the theater / church is already full for a performance, there is no right of admission.

Welche Ermäßigungen gibt es?
Schülerinnen und Schüler, Auszubildende, Studierende, Bundesfreiwilligendienstleistende, Arbeitslose und Schwerbehinderte* erhalten reduzierte Tickets gegen Vorlage eines gültigen Ausweises. Gruppenpreise auf Anfrage. Kinder bis einschließlich 5 Jahren sind frei.
Für Familien bieten wir an den Nachmittagen am Wochenende Familientickets an (max. 2 Erw. und max. 3 Kinder).
*Mit Eintrag B im Schwerbehindertenausweis erhält die Begleitperson freien Eintritt. Leider sind nicht alle Bereiche des abraxas rollstuhlgerecht, fragt gerne bei uns nach: lab30@augsburg.de
Mit dem Kultursozialticket erhaltet Ihr an der Festivalkasse eine Karte zum Preis von 1 €. Ein Rechtsanspruch hierauf besteht nicht.
Are there any reductions?
Pupils, trainees, students, people doing voluntary work, the unemployed and the Severely disabled persons* receive reduced tickets upon presentation of a valid ID. Group prices on request. Children up to and including 5 years of age are free.For families, we offer family tickets on weekend afternoons (max. 2 adults and max. 3 children).
*With entry B in the severely disabled ID card, the accompanying person receives free admission. Unfortunately not all areas of the abraxas are wheelchair accessible, please ask us: lab30@augsburg.de.
With the Kultursozialticket you will receive a ticket for 1 € at the festival box office. There is no legal claim to this.
Can I stay longer than 6pm with the Saturday afternoon ticket?
No, the ticket is cheaper because it is only valid in the afternoon, when there is no concert program. Saturday and Sunday afternoon is mainly for families and people who only want to see the exhibition. If you want to visit the festival also on Saturday evening, please book the ABENDTICKET. You can buy an upgrade at the festival entrance.
Kann ich mit dem Samstag Nachmittag- Ticket auch länger bleiben als 18 Uhr?
Nein, das Ticket ist günstiger, weil es nur am Nachmittag gilt, an dem es kein Konzertprogramm gibt. Der Samstag und Sonntag Nachmittag ist v.a. für Familien und Menschen gedacht, die ausschließlich die Ausstellung sehen möchten. Wenn ihr auch Samstag Abend das Festival besuchen möchtet, bucht bitte das ABENDTICKET. Ihr könnt euer Nachmittagsticket an der Abendkasse aufwerten, wenn ihr doch länger bleiben wollt.
What do I need to know regarding the Covid-19-pandemic?
We comply with state regulations. Currently, there are no state measures enacted. Please keep up to date and check with us if in doubt.
Welche Vorkehrungen wurden angesichts der Corona-Pandemie getroffen? Was muss ich bedenken?
Wir halten uns an die staatlichen Verordnungen. Derzeit sind keine staatlichen Maßnahmen verordnet. Bitte haltet euch auf dem Laufenden und fragt im Zweifel bei uns nach.
Is the ticket also valid for public transport?
No, unfortunately the ticket is not valid for public transport.
Gilt das Ticket auch für den ÖPNV?
Nein, das Ticket gilt leider nicht für den ÖPNV.
Are the venues wheelchair accessible?
Except for the exhibit in the attic and basement, all programs can be attended with a wheelchair. Please let us know in advance (lab30@augsburg.de), then someone will be ready to help with the elevator and/or accompany you to the barrier-free entrance.
Sind die Spielorte rollstuhlgerecht?
Bis auf das Exponat im Dachboden und im Keller können alle Programme auch mit Rollstuhl besucht werden. Bitte gebt uns am besten im Vorfeld Bescheid (lab30@augsburg.de), dann steht jemand parat, der mit dem Aufzug hilft und/oder zum barrierefreien Eingang begleitet.
How do I get to the festival?
You can find all addresses here. There are limited parking spaces available at the abraxas. But you can also reach the abraxas by bike or public transport:

Is the festival suitable for children?
Yes, the festival is also suitable for children of all ages, especially on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The many interactive exhibits make the exhibition experienceable also for children and technology strangers. On Saturday and Sunday afternoon also with extra family ticket for 15€ (max. 2 adults and max. 3 underage children). Children under 6 years are free.
Ist das Festival für Kinder geeignet?
Ja, das Festival ist v.a. am Samstag und Sonntag Nachmittag auch für Kinder jeden Alters geeignet. Die vielen interaktiven Exponate machen die Ausstellung auch für Kinder und Technikfremde erlebbar. Am Samstag und Sonntag Nachmittag auch mit extra Familienticket für 15€ (max. 2 Erw. und max. 3 minderjährige Kinder).
Kinder unter 6 Jahren sind frei.
Where do I book tickets for the concerts?
There are day tickets that include the concerts right away, there is free seating, so best be there on time if you would like to see the respective concert.
Wo buche ich Tickets für die Konzerte?
Es gibt Tagestickets, die die Konzerte gleich mit einschließen, es gibt freie Platzwahl, also seid am besten pünktlich da, wenn ihr das jeweilige Konzert gerne sehen wollt.
