Die menschliche Arbeitskraft wird heute vielfach durch Automaten und Roboter ersetzt. Aber wie steht es um das Vermögen künst- licher Intelligenz im kreativen Bereich? ScratchKO geht dieser Frage nach: DJ Opcode (Cotton Records/Repeat Club, Berlin) tritt an gegen den Roboter ScratchKO – nach allen Regeln eines DJ-Battles entscheidet das Publikum, wer sich besser macht hinter den Plattentellern: Mensch oder Maschine.
DJ-BATTLE MAN VS. MACHINE

We live in a time where robots are extensively used to replace the human labor in order to make things faster and more precise. It is yet unknown if our partnership with the machines could transform into a competition or such concerns are just fearmongering. The idea behind this performance is to provoke thinking and view this mutuality from context of the DJ Battle. The performance will resemble a DJ battle with its strict rules. A professional DJ will play his routines in competition with the robot ScratchKO in front of the public. At the end the spectators will decide who won.
