Seit Urzeiten zieht der Anblick von Feuer die Menschen in seinen Bann. Kaum weniger faszinierend sind die Geräusche, die so ein Feuer entstehen lässt. Die elektro-akustische Performance »Feuer hoch zwei« hat dies zum Thema: Ein Lagerfeuer wird entfacht, seine Geräusche werden aufgenommen, live digital bearbeitet und anschließend wiedergegeben. Die visuelle Kon- zentration der Besucher*innen bleibt auf dem Feuer, während sein Klang ein Eigenleben entwickelt.

Since ancient times, the sight of fire draws people into its spell. The sounds that a fire can occur are not at all less fascinating. The electro-acoustic performance "Fire squared" is about this magnifying circumstance: A campfire is lid, its sounds are recorded, then digitally processed and then reproduced. The visual concentration of the visitors remains on the fire, while the fire’s sound developes a life of its own.
