Die Spanierin Eli Gras wandelt auf multidiszipli- nären Pfaden: Aufbauend auf einer langen Karriere im Bereich experimenteller und Underground-Musik, bewegt sie sich im Minimal, Funk und auch Elektropop. Zudem ist sie Gründerin und Leiterin des NoNoLogic Festivals und des Labels La Olla Expréss. Ihr aktueller Sound lässt sich vielleicht am besten als experimentelle Improvisation auf selbst gebauten Instrumen- ten beschreiben. Beim lab30 präsentiert sie eine einzigartige Auswahl ihrer kuriosen Klangapparate. Zum Einsatz kommt ne- ben E-Gitarren und Flöten auch eine ganze Reihe Kinderspiel- zeug. Eine spontane, improvisierte Klangküche, ergebnisoffen: Klangkunstexperimente in Reinform!

Eli Gras will perform a “low-brow” concert of improvised music, by using electroacoustic devices, a selection of her self made, unique instruments, in conjunction with “prepared” electric guitar, flutes, toys and all kind of sound gadgets and elementary electronic effects. It's a handcrafted show, where every sound part is "cooked" for the audience as a open sound kitchen, almost chemical. Eli Gras is a self-starter artist who has an historied career in experimental music from earlies ‘80. Her background comes along from electropop, via greek music, minimalism, choral or noise hardcore, although nowadays as in the past, her musical practice is focused on improvisation and more recently experimental luthierism. She is the creator of the performances “Saló Sonor” and “Peeled Piano”, having played with many artists around Europe. Eli Gras is founder and director of the NoNoLogic Festival and La Olla Expréss records.
