INSTALLATION
LUIZ ZANOTELLO (BREMEN): Die raumgreifende Installation des Brasilianers Luiz Zanotello ist sowohl ein in sich geschlossenes System als auch eine Art skulpturale Landkarte. Wie uns der Name schon verrät, versucht der »Aerographer«, die Luft um uns herum abzubilden. Sensoren geben jede Luft-Veränderung und Strömung über Relays und Gelenke an die Achsen am Boden weiter. Aber der »Aerographer« ist keine wissenschaftliche Versuchsanordnung. Vielmehr versucht die Installation, den vergänglichen Moment ins Mechanische zu übersetzen. Und uns Zuschauer*innen lässt sie daran teilhaben.
INSTALLATION
LUIZ ZANOTELLO (BERLIN): The Aerographer maps the air to raise fragile grounds. The installation measures the airflow at different locations, and translates their difference to the kinetic motion of an array of nodes. The nodes travel on different axis shifting connected lines, thus unfolding a networked topography of the air in constant change. The work speculates on the gaseous state of matter as Zeitgeist, and explores the spatial anxieties of perceiving differences and establishing boundaries in times of accentuated uncertainty and ubiquitous technological mediation. What is it like to live in airlike times, when everything is transparent, and no ground lingers?
