TANIA GONZAGA (BREMEN): In ihrer Installation »Graspable Noise« (»Greifbares Rauschen«) experimentiert die aus Brasilien stammende Künstlerin Tania Gonzaga mit den physischen und digitalen Grenzen der Wahrnehmung im Kontext der virtuellen Realität (VR). Als Besucher*in nimmt man an einem Tisch Platz und kann durch eine VR-Brille unterschiedliche Szenen erleben. Am Tisch installierte Ventilatoren verstärken die visuellen Eindrücke, indem sie zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten Wind aufkommen lassen. Der eigene Erfahrungsraum der Gäste wird so zu einem synästhetischen Bad in unterschiedlichen Medien.

TANIA GONZAGA (BREMEN): The installation is composed of a wooden black table, a chair, a VR headset with a motion sensor attached and speakers. It experiments with the boundaries of perception between physical and digital in VR. It combines a visual representations of noise and an air blowing table creating a tactile feeling of wind. Each scene is a series of moving pattern creating a metaphorical noise motionscape, the viewer is invited to establish its own connections between what is seen and touched. The project explores the affective potential of motionscapes combined with tactile perception in immersive media.
