AMAIA VICENTE GARCÍA (ES): Das Schengener Abkommen regelt die Freizügigkeit innerhalb der EU. Doch wie steht es um die europäischen Werte in Zeiten der Wiedereinführung von Grenzkontrollen und der Einschränkung der Bewegungs- freiheit? Die Arbeit »Welcome to Schengenland paradise« geht dieser Frage nach: Schwarze Fußmatten imitieren die Flagge der Europäischen Union. Tritt man auf und über die Matte, wird eine Audiodatei abgespielt, die sich erst in der Interaktion mit anderen Besucher*innen, im Miteinander, in Gänze entfaltet.

AMAIA VICENTE GARCÍA (ES): Schengenland is the name given to the territory comprising the states of the european Union have agreed to create a common area whose main objectives are the removal of border controls between these countries, security, immigration and free movement of people. This work is formed by black colored doormats on the floor. These doormats form a flag of the European Union that has been altered in its own color. This flag is black and white, to step on and step over a midi audio is activated in real time.
